Brands Hatch is one of the world's most iconic motor racing venues, playing host to some of the most prestigious events in motorsport including the DTM and the FIA Formula Two Championship. In addition to hosting top international meetings, Brands Hatch is also visited by the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship and Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. Other big events include the British F3/GT Championships, the Masters and Historic Superprix nostalgic meetings, the British Truck Championship and many club car and bike meetings.

What were they looking for?

Brands Hatch wanted to develop the skills, knowledge and general professionalism of their stewarding team, to ensure better service and a safer experience for their many visitors.

What we did

After in-depth discussion and analysis of Brands Hatch’s needs, we recommended that an NVQ in Spectator Safety and a level 2 award in Door Supervision would benefit their stewards. Taking into account the fact that their stewards may have other employment and so would not all be available at the same time, we worked with Brands Hatch to deliver the courses at times which were convenient to the individual stewards so that this wouldn’t present a problem.

What was achieved

The company is pleased to see that we have achieved a 100% success rate for their staff on these programmes. The stewards feel that they have now developed their existing skills to provide a more efficient and effective service; they feel more professional and confident in their jobs.
